Steve Cheshir is our new Drummer extrodinair.  He started playing in his parent's garage in the 1980's in the Ft. Worth area. Steve is a self taught musician but did study drumset in college at Texas Tech.  He plays Rock, Country, Blues, Oldies, Funk, and Christian Music.  In addition to being the newest (and YOUNGEST) Lone Star Pickerz bandmember, he also plays drums in the Music Ministry at his Church.  Steve has played in many types of bands over the years throughtout the hill country of Texas, New Mexico, and Colorado.  We are delighted to welcome aboard such a truly talented guy as "Junior" with a great attitude, as well as a warm personable family Man.

Thomas Lowry is a founding member of the LONE STAR PICKERZ an our incredible lead guitar player for 13 years.  Thomas is a terrific family Man who is very versatile on guitar!   From smokin’-hot Country Twang licks to ice-cool Blues riffs, plus awesome blues slide-guitar it’s easy to hear his 35+ years of playing has finely honed his guitar skills. Thomas "Mr. T" is a Jackson, Mississippi native that grew up in the country around East Texas and Caddo Lake/ Bossier City LA.   Vocally Thomas wails both Country,  Blues and Southern Fried Rock tunes that people to love to hear and dance to.  Additionally, he is a luthier ( Git-Tar maker) and has invented an all-new kind of Electric guitar!  BIG T GUITARS are displayed under "photos" with an overview of the guitar and description.  BUY ONE TODAY!    tslowry@gmail.com

CONRAD GOETH

Dateline August 2009...our NEW BASS PLAYER is CONRAD GOETH!!!  "Conny" was with the LSP Band for 4 years from 2000-2004 and now returns bringing back 40 years of working musician experience!  Conrad is a native TEXAN from Bexar County, and is a grand person as well as family Man.  Recently, Conrad confessed he was musically turned on my hearing Chuck Berry on the radio at 7 years of age in 1955!  Conny still is turned on by Chuck and it shows in his music too!  He also has a DEEP love for the Country classic artists too, like Merle and Hank.  You can tell Conny has a deep faith and is a postive influence on stage and back stage, plus he has a wicked sense of humor.   His vocals are unique and high quality, plus his Bass tone and technique is at the highest echelon of skill.  He brings pro level instruments and gear to our stages and it is a pleasure to be with such a fun saddle pal.  Welcome back, Conrad!

Wayne Martin is the founder, front-man, lead vocalist and plays rhythm acoustic and electric guitar and mandolin for the LSP band.  (He’s known as Wayne-o to the PICKERHEAD Palz ) His hometown is Keller Texas which is near Ft Worth (COWTOWN).  Thats where he grew up on Country music and was in a High School band called the Acoustic Nerve.  This was a 5 piece Rock band playing Jimmi Hendrix, Cream, The Doors, Steppenwolf, Iron Butterfly, Led Zepplin and the like.  Wayne-o was the lead singer and he still loves to sing, especially fun up-tempo songs plus tear-jerkin’ classic Country ballads too.
